What to Talk About in English at Elementary Level?

    Not a complete beginner anymore

At Elementary, you already have a foundation. You know the basic tenses, you can build simple sentences. Time to expand your topics.

    Topics for practice

    Your life in more detail:

    • Tell about your work or studies. What you do, what you like, what you don't
    • Describe your typical weekend
    • What did you do yesterday? And last weekend?

    Hobbies and interests:

    • What do you do in your free time
    • What movies and shows do you watch
    • Do you play sports? Which ones?

    Travel:

    • Where have you been on vacation
    • Where do you want to go and why
    • Describe your city — what's interesting, what would you recommend to a tourist

    Plans:

    • What are you planning for the weekend
    • What are your goals for this year
    • What do you want to learn

    What gets improved?

With these topics, you practice Past Simple (what you did yesterday), Future (what you're planning), you learn to describe and explain. Vocabulary expands naturally — through conversations about what interests you.

💡 Don't be afraid of mistakes. Mixing up tenses? Normal. Forgot a word and described it with other words? Excellent, that's what speaking skills are. AI will correct you, you'll remember, and move on.
